Fred-Report:

I got up pretty early today, preparing myself for my new expedition. Captain Oliver Krüß picked me up at the cozy office of Pole Position and took me on board the MS National Geographic Explorer. She is a pretty big ship – compared to the Hanse Explorer. Things were pretty busy on board. Passengers had just embarked and they were also pretty excited and had lots of questions.

I decided to take it easy – and started to unpack. My cabin is located on F-Deck – almost at the very top of the ship. I am planning to take it easy for the next two weeks. The National Geographic Explorer is doing two more one-week cruises around Svalbard before heading for the Russian Arctic.
